Recent and Planned Projects
Miami-Dade County's South Dade Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) expansion has spurred a wave of public-private partnerships and private development activity, particularly along the west side of U.S. 1. Recent and planned projects include luxury mid-rise multifamily buildings and a town center consisting of retail shops and restaurants. Rapid population growth and the need to mitigate traffic congestion along U.S. 1 is fueling this expansion.
